マクロの講義なのだけれども、最後のほうで、メタファーの重要性について触れていたのが興味深い。これは”まいんすとりーむ”が使うメタファとMMTのそれの対比。
ミッチェルの講義。Louisa Connorsさんがゲストでメタファーの話。たとえば経済で「均衡」だとか「バランス」だとかと表現すると、その言葉自体が「ものごとがうまくいく」というような意味をもってしまう。ルイーザとビルのペーパーが紹介されていた。難しそうで読んでない。fullemployment.net/publications/w…

Emeritus Professor Bill Mitchell
Professor Bill Mitchell holds the Chair in Economics and is the Director of the Centre of Full Employment and Equity (CofFEE), an official research centre at the University of Newcastle. He is also on the board of CofFEE-Europe, which is a sister centre established at the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands.
